Advantages: Really calms you down, can't live without it!

Disadvantages: Bit expensive, tastes horrible.

The first time I used Bach Rescue Remedy was just before I went on holiday, for use on the plane. I've always been a nervous flier, and every tiny bit of turbulence convinces me the plane is about to drop right out of the sky! My mother bought it for me at the airport because I was freaking out so much. At first I was pretty skeptical... How can a little spray help to calm me down. I soon found out it is one of the most effective items that one can carry in their handbag and I never leave home without mine.

Rescue remedy spray comes in a bright yellow box, which is very eye catching and so always catches my attention when I am in a pharmacy. I normally buy the 7ml spray and this is usually about £4 in my local Boots. You can get much bigger bottles too and it is sold in pretty much every pharmacy or supermarket going!

Rescue Remedy is a herbal product and so contains all natural ingredients. These are five of the 38 Bach Flower Essences, mixed together to provide an effective treatment for anxiety. These are: Rock Rose for terror and panic, Impatiens for irritation and impatience, Clematis for inattentiveness, Star of Bethlehem for shock and Cherry Plum for irrational thoughts.

I experience all of the above so it's really useful for me!! The spray is really easy to use. It takes 2 or 3 sprays before the product comes out effectively, so I discreetly spray it on the floor for a couple of times before using it in my mouth! The taste is not very nice at all, it tastes very alcoholic, a bit like whiskey... (Maybe this is why it calms you down so much!!). The directions on the bottle state to spray 2 sprays onto your tongue at a time. Whenever I do so I immediately shudder from the overpowering taste. The good thing about this product is that it is herbal and so it is not possible to overdose on it! I find that 2 sprays is not quite enough to kill my nerves, and sometimes spray it up to 10 times on my tongue to calm me down!

I wouldn't say that there is an instant relief but there is definitely some sense of calming that comes over you once you spray it on your tongue. It may now be a psychological effect as I know it to work and I know whenever I experience anxiety that the spray will work at calming me down, but I definitely never leave the house without it anymore.

This spray has gotten me through so many awful situations! When I took my driving test I was sat in the waiting room minutes before obsessively spraying it onto my tongue... I felt so calm during the test... And guess what? I passed!!

I often experience bouts of anxiety or panic attacks and although this doesn't stop the panic attack in its tracks, I definitely recover in a much quicker time than I would without it.

This is a necessity for any person suffering with anxiety or going through a stressful time in their lives. Although expensive for such a small bottle it is definitely worth it and I would recommend it to anyone!
