I wouldn't describe myself as a particularly anxious/ nervous person but, like many people have periods of stress in my life, so after having read some mixed reviews about Bach's Rescue Remedy I decided to give it a try. I've now used it on a number of occasions but, to be completely honest, I have to say it didn't work for me.

I found it in Boots & it cost £5.17 & I was quite impressed by the packaging. I asked the assistant at the pharmacy desk if she could recommend it & she answered very diplomatically that 'it seems to work for some people'.

The small box contains a very informative leaflet which includes directions for use & lists the ingredients which include clematis, impatiens, rock rose, star of Bethlehem & cherry plum in a grape alcohol solution. I was pleased to read that it's free from artificial ingredients & suitable for vegans. So far so good....

I did as directed by popping 4 drops onto the tongue from the little pipette/dropper (although you can dilute in water) & after having got over the awful taste waited to see what happened....

I hadn't raised my hopes too high yet wasn't too sceptical when using Bach's but I have to say I didn't feel any less stressed nor less anxious after having had the first 'dose'. It states that you can 'take 4 drops a minimum of 4 times a day' but even following these instructions I have to say it didn't work for me. I've tried it quite a few times since & still not noticed the promised 'more positive outlook when you need comfort & reassurance' (as stated on the box).

Please note that this is written purely from my own personal experience & may work really well for other people - but all I gained from using the remedy was a nasty taste in my mouth.
