Advantages: Dual function, good solution to annoying little problem

Disadvantages: None

Now there is no more excuse for not hearing your other half speak! Earex Plus Ear Drops contains choline salicylate and glycerin. It is used to soften ear wax and is also used for the symptomatic relief of ear pain in acute and chronic otitis media and externa (inflammation of the middle and outer ear).

The glycerin is responsible for the wax softening action, as it acts as an emollient, and the choline salicylate (which is quite similar to aspirin), provides analgesic (pain relief), anti-pyretic (fever reducing) and anti-inflammatory functions.

The ear drops retail at around £4.29, and is a clear, odourless, very pale yellow liquid contained in a 10ml glass bottle with a screw cap and integral dropper.
It and can be used by childen and adults, but is not for babies under one year. It does not need a prescription, but it is always advisable to discuss any treatment with your doctor first.

How to use this product:
For softening of Ear Wax - with the head tilted to one side, completely fill the external ear canal with Earex Plus Ear Drops using the dropper provided. The ear should be plugged with cotton wool soaked with the ear drops. Repeat twice daily for four days.
For Pain Relief- Apply as described above, every 3 to 4 hours as required.

In the case of inflammation especially, if there is no improvement or relief, make sure you consult your doctor! I have found them to be quite god in softening ear wax, and regularly use them myself, so now I have no excuse not hearing my other half.....oh well!

Summary: Soften wax, relieve pain, but dont forget to consult your doctor when necessary

And here I thought the whole review was telling you about its dual function (as compared to standared Earex), silly me, thanks matty :)

Hi Zoekie - welcome to dooyoo. I think at least some of this comes from the product instructions, so this, for me, doesn't have as much opinions and view as to whether it works (apart from one brief sentence).

Do keep in mind, though, this is just me :)

Cheers
