This is the first and only test I have ever had to use. It cost me about £5 for one test from Superdrug. It can be used from day 1 of your missed period and can be used at any time of the day, though first thing in the morning is best as I would have thought it will be more accurate. I used it the same day of my missed period and it gave me an accurate result - positive, and the test was done early evening. This home pregnancy test is one of the cheapest on the market, at around £8 for 2 tests. It's not the easiest test to use, you have to collect a urine sample in a small plastic pot, then put a foam ring over the test stick and float it in the pot for 20 seconds or so to get the result. Although the result was always accurate for me, a friend used this test and it gave a very faint positive, but when she did a different test it was negative - and she actually wasn't pregnant. I bought the twin pack of this test and have to say I was very disappointed with it. The test is fiddly to use when compared to mid-stream tests, which can be similar in price to this (Early Bird 1-Test £3-4, 2-Test £6-8). It involves collecting the urine in a small plastic container (provided) and inserting the testing stick into a foam ring, in order to float it in the urine. The result takes several minutes to fully develop, and can be read in a small area at the top of the stick, where there will be a line to say if the test has worked (or no line if it hasn't) and one to show your result. HAVING SPENDING LOADS OF MONEY ON VARIOUS OTHER TESTS,I PICKED THIS ONE UP IN SUPERDRUG FOR £5 ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF A FRIEND.
