As a doctor, it is almost within my nature to assume that anything that involves the word 'herbal' is to be ignored. It is a fact that in the medical profession, the majority of us just don't like herbal remedies. They don't have evidence behind them, and we cannot prescribe them, so they cannot work. Yet Echinacea is one of the few things that I ...  Read the complete review

If you have M.E. or simlpy suffer from exhaustion then I strongly recommend that you take an Echinacea supplement. If you are constantly tired, then your immune system is not going to be functioning properly, and you will be much more prone to colds and infections. Before taking Echinacea, because of my M.E I would frequently be stuck in ...  Read the complete review

What do you do when you feel a cold coming on? At the first sign of a tickly throat, I used to reach immediately for the Vitamin C and the Paracetemol. But now my first port of call is Echinacea drops. Also known as the purple coneflower, this herb is used as an ornament in many gardens. But as well as being pretty, it also has the ...  Read the complete review

~ ~ The ‘mad cabbie’ was driving a fare out to an outlying suburb of Dublin city a few months back, and somehow the conversation got around to health, and the everyday ailments that seem to affect lots of folks. Bioforce Echinacea I discovered Echinacea about 3 years ago. I work in London in a huge office block with plenty of air conditioning - the germs just circulate around and around, mutating as they go, so that you can end up having a cold throughout the winter months - very depressing. I was in a health food shop and saw a bottle ...  Read the complete review

If you had told someone to take echinacea a couple of years ago, the chances are that they would have looked at you a little strangely. "Eki....what?" Indeed even today many people are a little unsure as to what echinacea is, yet it is widely available in supermarkets, chemists and health stores and many people are amazed by the results ...  Read the complete review

Echinacea was a word only said by earnest herbalists and new-agers until recently. Then it passed a few recognised scientific tests and became the latest thing. I think that’s a pity, as it is in danger of being as over-used as antibiotics. There are also some dangers associated with it, which I’ll explain later. First, what ...  Read the complete review

This absolutely brilliant, wonderful, amazing - any other superlative you care to add - remedy was one I had read lots about but been sceptical as to its real efficacy versus the placebo effect....people raved about it so much that I thought it must just be the latest "cool" fad. I'm the oldest of eight, I have three children, my brother has three, and so does my cousin. We've been using echinachea for years for any "under the weather" symptoms. Echinacea - perfect for warding off an approaching cold. I swear by this vitamin supplement. It is a preventive approach, don't bother with it if you already have a cold or the flu. I'm writing this opinion to let everyone know that I've recently learned that ecinacea is only supposed to be taken on a 2 week on, 2 week off peroiod.
