I was introduced to Echinaforce drops by my mother. She had always been quite prone to colds and flu and although I wasn't, the ones that I did get always lasted for weeks. Now whenever I get a tickly throat, I take 15 drops in some warm water 3 times a day and the sore throat usually disappears after about 2 days. I find it really ... Read the complete review

I am a science teacher and a former medical student and I am very choosy about which herbal remedies I use. I pretty much only go with the stuff that has had some proven results at some time. Echinacea, an extract from the purple flowering plant, claims to build up the immune system against the common cold and other such viruses. While teaching in ... Read the complete review

When I recently started to get a summer cold it was recommended that I try Echinaforce Drops manufactured by Bioforce. As someone who is pretty much a sceptic when it comes to herbal remedies I thought I would give it a try. Echinaforce drop’s contain the tinctures of the Echinacea purpurea herb and root and is a traditional herbal ... Read the complete review

Echinacea is not a miracle cure for coughs, colds and infections of the upper respiratory tract. It is a natural supplement that can help your immune system fight off the bacteria that causes coughs, colds and 'flu. Once you have a cough or cold, then it is too late to do anything other than stay warm and drink ... Read the complete review

Echinacea is supposed to boost your immune system (by boosting your white blood cell count I think). I'm not a big expert on Echinacea, and there are some brilliant pieces already on dooyoo by people who seem to know what they are talking about. I do take it on and off however when I feel my immune system needs a boost. The first ... Read the complete review

Both Steve and myself have very tiring stressful jobs and last winter was constantly getting bogged down by sore throats, colds and generally feeling run down. I decided enough was enough when we spent 6 weeks passing a sore throat back and forth to one another. I'd read in the Sunday Times about a women who sweared by this ... Read the complete review

I have always been a slave to 'throats'. Every few weeks I would start with a sharp pain in one side of my throat which would turn into a head cold which would turn into a chest infection! After a particularly bad bout last year when I would seem to shake the infection off then a day later it would surface in the throat again and ... Read the complete review

Despite what you may read elsewhere, echinacea (eh-kin-eez-eeya) is not a miracle cure for colds. However, if you are prone to coughs, colds and bronchitis etc, then you may want to consider giving it a try. You can take echinacea in tablet form, as drops, or diluted in a syrup. It tastes pretty foul, but has been reported to help fight ... Read the complete review

Echinacea purpurea a native plant of N.America. It is a plant a bit like a red clover and helps boost the immune system so that it can ward off colds and upper respiratory trat infeections. I first heard about it when I went to a seminar given by the famous naturopath Jan de Vries. A lovely, lovely man! He had arrived in America to ... Read the complete review

I have tried Echinacea in tincture form for sinus and cold relief. I found it had no discernable effect on my symptoms. The tincture wasn't pleasant tasting either which didn't help therefore I tried a tablet form after which I felt my sinuses were a little easier. Having chronic sinusitus maybe I was asking too much of this herb and it ... Read the complete review
