Evening primrose oil (EPO) has been used for many years to treat and aid numerous health problems. It is a tall plant 4-5 ft and has yellow flowers with four petals, it is native to North America but is also grown in Europe. The oil is extracted by pressing the tiny seeds. This is a wonderful natural oil. Evening primrose oil works not only from the outside but also from the inside. Taken as a supplement it is great for relieving the symptoms of pms although you may have to take it for 3 or 4 months before you begin to see the full benefits.I'm not sure how it works but it makes a real difference to swollen, sore pre menstrual breats and eases the stomach cramps. The other use I have for evening primrose oil is on my skin. Simply take one of the capsules and pierce it with a pin, then rub the oil onto your skin.
