Advantages: sensitive, reliable, easy to use

Disadvantages: expensive

As someone who has been trying to get pregnant for years and years, I know pretty much all the tests out there. This is one of the most reliable and sensitive tests I've used.

Ease of use
Just remove the cap, urinate on the end of the stick for 5 seconds or in a cup and dip it for 5 seconds. then replace the cap and wait.

Speed of results
Results can show immediatley with a strong positive, or take up to 3 minutes to show if there is not much HCG in the urine.

Reading the results
There will be 2 pink lines if you are pregnant and 1 if you are not.

Reliability
I have used many a pregnancy test, over many years of desperately trying to get pregnant. And I have never seen a false positive or evaporation line on a First response test. When I actually did get pregnant back in 2010, at only 11 days past ovulation, this test showed a clear pink line in seconds, while other tests were either negative, or very very faint.

Sensitivity
These tests claim to read about 25miu of hcg in the urine, but research into pregnancy tests have show much better sensitivity with these, as low as 6miu!! In my view, these are one of the most sensitive tests out there.

Cost
These tests are expensive. If you are constantly trying to get pregnant every month, it might be better to use cheaper internet tests and if you think you have a second line, use the more expensive test. A 2 pack is about £12 at boots or a single test for £10, or cheaper online. Of course if you are a normal person you could just test if your period is late.

Overall I really do like these tests. They are my "go to" test if I think I might actually be pregnant. I have never been let down by these tests, some tests have shown false lines and caused much pain and upset but not these. I love them.

Summary: I love these tests, they never let me down.
