Advantages: avoid the side effects of regular iron supplements

Disadvantages: not available on prescription

If you suffer with an iron deficient anaemia and can't face all the iron rich foods added to your diet but also find that regular iron tablets make you constipated then this may be a perfect solution to your problem.

If your iron and vitamin levels are OK but you still feel a little run down then this may also be used as a tonic to keep you pepped up, however I admit to only using it to top my iron levels up - so whether my tiredness goes from my iron levels rising I'm not sure, but seems to work faster than normal iron tablets.

I've also tried other liquid iron supplements and found the others made me a little quesy on taking them - whereas this had no side effects.

The main downside, aside from it not being available on prescription, is the taste, it's not the most pleasant tasting product on the market but that quickly goes away when you wash it down with a glass of orange juice (the vitamin C helps your body absorb the iron so it's the best option to take with it)

Summary: A liquid iron supplement which raises your levels without the side effects of 'normal' suplements
