Effective for joint issues (Glucosamine Sulphate)

Oral glucosamine is commonly used for the treatment of osteoarthritis and other joint/tendon related injuries. It is made primarily of glycosaminoglycans, which are a major component of joint cartilage, supplementing with glucosamine is suppose to help rebuild cartilage and treat arthritis. Before buying the product i read a few reviews, most of which written by arthritis sufferers who all claimed it helped with pain relief, so on that basis i thought i would give it a try.

The reason as to why i felt i needed it was because i have been suffering with sore elbows and a sore left knee cap from heavy resistance training over a number of year.

I used one capsule/tablet which contained 1000mg of Glucosamine. I continued doing this for a few weeks and noticed very little in terms of pain relief or increased mobility of the joint.
I then upped the dosage to 2000mg (two capsules) and the effects were much more pronounced, the creaky elbows i experienced in the morning were no very bearable although still there. I read about adding in a high dose of cod liver oil which is supposed to work in synergy with glucosamine, so i began to use that also at around 10 grams per day. This yeilded much better results in comparison to glucosamine alone, so whilst effective it can be so much better with a little fish oil thrown in.

Summary: An effective supplement but not the miracle pill many make out.
