Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream is a good product to keep in the bathroom cabinet, it is great for relieving painful itchy insect bites and is successful at treating mild eczema. It can also be used for relieving itching and symptoms following allergic reactions to plants, nettle stings, deodorants and toiletries you do not need a prescription and it can be bought over the counter from most pharmacy's and Boots.


I have never used it for eczema as I don't have it, but have used it on quite a few occasions following insect bites.


Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream relieves itching and inflamed skin and it does really work for me, I was bitten by something over the weekend and within minutes I had a grape sized red itchy swelling and used this straightaway, and within an hour the symptoms had subsided, the swelling and redness reduced, and after three days I am just left with a little lump but no irritating itching.


Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream comes in a tube and contains a white cream, which does not really smell of much and easily absorbed so does not leave any greasy residue. A thin layer must be applied to the affected are once or twice a day for a maximum of 7 days.


As I said at the start Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream can be bought over the counter but it is a medicine and there are side effects if it is not used properly. Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream contains Hydrocortisone acetate BP 1.0% w/w which is a type of medicine called a corticosteroid and can cause thinning of the skin if overused.


It must not be used on the face and extra care is needed to avoid contact with the eyes, it is not to be used on young children, pregnant of breast feeding mothers without medical advice. There is a leaflet inside the box which contains all the important medical interactions and when and how the cream should be used.
For me it works very well on insect bites and will stop the itch of annoying little pimples as well.


Hc45 hydrocortisone cream must be stored below 25 degrees and there is a use by date on both the box and tube and any unused cream should be thrown away after the date shown.
