      Very helpful

A fantastic foot spa from Homedics.

I am on my feet quite often and it is was for this reason that I started using foot spas. I had a Superdrug one a couple of years ago and recently I gave it away when I was off work for a while. This was a mistake really as I then moved in to a different field of work and some days I find myself standing on my feet for hours per day. I then wished that I could go back in time and get my foot spa back because I could have really used it!

I picked up this Homedics My Space HL-150 foot spa from Very.co.uk and I paid £39.00 with free delivery to one of my local collection points (a shop near my home). I had to wait around 5 days for delivery but this was all stated on the website before I placed my order. This was reasonable enough and I was just happy to have found a foot spa that looked similar and sounded similar to the one that I had used in the past.

This foot spa is almost 2kg in weight so is fairly heavy when I carry it in from its resting place behind my bathroom sink. This holds a couple of litres of water too so it obviously gets even heavier when it comes to emptying the water out after use. This foot spa come provided within a cardboard box and there were 3 attachments within the box. There was a rolling ball that is ideal for massaging the ball of your foot, a pumice attachment for removing dead skin from my heels and a brush to ensure that my skin and nails are as clean as possible.

I have barely used the pumice attachment because I scrub my feet twice a week anyway as part of a regular foot care regime. I similarly rarely use the brush attachment for similar reasons and it is generally just the rolling ball attachment that is the one that I have been using the most. This is ideal for rubbing my feet over and if I press down quite hard it does massage my feet quite a lot.

This foot spa is a fairly generous size and both my husband (size 11) and I (size 7) can get our feet in to this foot spa. This plugs in to the mains and there is a reasonable length on the flex. This means that I can put it on the floor in my lounge or bedroom wherever I want to before relaxing bath in a chair to start using it.

This spa has lots of small and large semi-circle shaped balls on the surface and there is a large foot style shape on both the left and the right. This seems to be a little bit for my foot size but it does mean that I can roll by whole foot around comfortably and the little balls will work their magic on the soles of my feet. Lots of bubbles are produced which help to massage my feet too and I definitely feel relaxed when I have my feet in the water and have the spa turned on. There is a 'soothing heat' addition to this but I must say that this does not keep the water temperature the same as it was when poured in for longer than about 10 or 15 minutes.

Overall I would say that this is a very relaxing foot spa. Homedics is a name that I have come to know and trust over the past few years for their massaging products and this was the main reason for my purchase, well that and the low price. I thoroughly enjoy using this and I find it very simple to use. The three settings 'massage' 'massage, bubbles, heat' and 'off' all give something to me. I can soak my feet if I want to without the bubbles or I can have the bubbles or even the full bubbles, massage and heat settings all together. This adjustment knob is very simple to use and it gets to work basically instantly. The bubbles do splash a little on the floor so I tend to use my foot spa with a towel around it. This also means that I can dry my feet as soon as I take them out. My feet feel wonderful after they have been in this foot spa and I definitely feel much more relaxed and refreshed.

If you are looking for a foot spa then I would firmly recommend this one to you. My feet feel beautiful afterwards and once they have been dried I just apply some nice foot lotion before I head off to bed or even before I head off to work. This takes just 5 or 10 minutes to make me feel wonderful again and I feel like I could go on standing on my feet for another day!
