QUIET LIFE Like the description says they are supposed to 'relieve periods of worry, irritability, stresses and strains' and 'promote natural sleep'. WHY DO I TAKE THEM? I have suffered from depression for about 8 years and recently went through a very painful break-up which caused my depression to really flare up. I was reluctant to return to anti-depressants as in the past I've had lots of bad experiences with them so I decided to take some herbal supplements to try and take the edge of. WHY DID I PICK QUIET LIFE? I had tried Rescue Remedy in several forms in the past with varying success so I decided to try these which were ... Read the complete review

Quiet Life tablets are marketed as a "Traditional Herbal Remedy". They are available in packs of 100 tablets which cost around £3.79, and smaller bottles of 50 tablets which cost around £2. They are available from health food shops and stores like Boots, Superdrug and Savers. I usually get mine from Holland and Barretts. They come in a glass jar, like a medicine jar, in a cream coloured box with a flower on the front. The active ingredients are motherwort, hops, passiflora, lettuce extract, valerian extract, thiamine hydrochloride, riboflavin and nicotinamide. The tablets also contain sucrose which makes swallowing them pleasant! I first ... Read the complete review

A friend recommended Lanes Quiet Life to me because I have been going through a very stressful experience and couldn't seem to switch off and relax, let alone sleep. I'd tried CD-Roms, relaxation tapes, incense, lavender oil, peaceful meditations (all of which usually work for me) without success. Even now that the stressful experience is over, I was so tightly wound up, I just couldn't let go. I had been avoiding all valerian containing herbal supplements as I'd found that Kalms tended to make me feel very depressed but not calmer, and for some reason I thought the valerian was to blame. Quiet life was a completely different experience. It said take 2 ... Read the complete review

“Every now and then the stresses and strains of life can seem difficult to cope with”. Like right now for instance. I’m meant to be preparing for an interview I have on Monday for a job that could be what I need to get my life back on track (so yeah, it’s potentially a big deal). The only problem is, the areas I’m planning on revising are so huge that it seems pointless spending a day on it… I need at least a week. I also want to read my books, write opinions and check out other people’s reviews on DooYoo, but I can’t do it all. Then I feel guilty and then I can’t concentrate and I am paralysed by indecision. I have taken a week’s leave from work to relax, ... Read the complete review

I’m not a particularly shy person, just kind of quiet, however I do seem to have developed some nervous tendencies since being at college. I can’t remember the reason why I first bought these tablets, but I remember that they worked really well and I can certainly remember why I rushed out to buy them again. In my second year at college I had to do a ten minute presentation about an artist and two of their paintings, now the thought of this didn’t exactly fill me with joy, but as I had no choice I started plotting out what I was going to say. I think that what went wrong was that I didn’t have my usual carnivorous butterflies before I did the ... Read the complete review
