This cream is often prescribed for eczema sufferers and when my sister and I were still living with our parents there were tubs of this and E45 littering the house as my sister was prescribed both (along with Oilatum) for her eczema. Aqueous cream is recommended by many doctors if you have eczema or other dry skin conditions not only as an emollient but as an alternative skin cleanser to soap. My sister has often passed on a tub to me for general family use, as she doesn't feel it helps her eczema, in fact she found that it seemed to be aggravating it and has now started using other products which she buys herself and since then her eczema has ... I've gone through lots and lots of tubs of various sorts of aqueous creams over the years, particularly since my daughter Sarah was born. Sarah has had eczema since she was about three months old and I have used prescription based medications for her. Most aqueous creams work in the same way and contain the same ingredients and the one I bought most recently was purchased from Lloyds Pharmacy. It's their own brand aqueous cream and it cost me £1.39 for a 100g tube. The reason I bought this tube was because we were away on holiday at the time in Wales and I had conveniently forgotten to pack Sarah's cream when we left. I usually get this free on prescription but ... Read the complete review

I have suffered from various skin problems throughout my life and unfortunately when I was an infant these were extreme. Thankfully, they have really decreased over time but occasionally I will experience some sort of flare up. I am sure my mum had applied this aqueous cream to me when I was younger but the first time I came across the lloyds brand I was about 15. My doctor had suggested it for what appeared to be eczema. I was prescribed this and as I was still at school I did not pay but I was surprised to see that a great big tub could be picked up for less than £3. Since this initial use I have bought this cream a few times and it is definitely my go to product if ... Read the complete review

I finally ran out of E45 cream and went to the pharmacy to buy some more and the lady behind the counter recommended that I try their own brand of emollient cream which is called aqueous cream. I'd never heard of aqueous cream before but the lady told me it was perfect for my symptoms but still I reluctant as I am a big fan of E45. The thing that swayed me was the price, £2.19 for a big 500g tub to be precise. I thought I may as well try it and see at that price. Aqueous cream is a paraffin based emollient cream that is very similar in both colour and consistency to E45. What it does is leave an invisible layer on top of the skin to trap in moisture and ... Aqueous Cream is a great little product and one that sits nicely in the medicine cupboard in our bathroom. This particular pot of Aqueous Cream us made by Lloyds the Pharmacy but you can get the same thing in pretty much every chemist it will just be that particular place's branding, like Boots or Superdrug. It comes in 500g tubs which are very similar in style to the Sudocrem pots and they are white with a little band around them which you have to pull off to open it and a very simple label which states what it is and where it is from as well as general instructions for use labels. There are also small tubs available which I think are 250g and 125g as well ... Read the complete review
