Aqueous Cream is a great little product and one that sits nicely in the medicine cupboard in our bathroom.

This particular pot of Aqueous Cream us made by Lloyds the Pharmacy but you can get the same thing in pretty much every chemist it will just be that particular place's branding, like Boots or Superdrug. It comes in 500g tubs which are very similar in style to the Sudocrem pots and they are white with a little band around them which you have to pull off to open it and a very simple label which states what it is and where it is from as well as general instructions for use labels. There are also small tubs available which I think are 250g and 125g as well as smaller tubes.

A paraffin base emollient cream, Aqueous Cream protects the skin like an invisible barrier, preventing anything from irritating the skin further or going on to it and causing infections. Aqueous cream has many uses and can be used to treat eczema, nappy rash, stinging nettle stings, scabs, cracked skin and more. It is unfragranced.

Aqueous Cream is very simple to use. It is just a case of getting a little bit out of the tub on your finger and rubbing it into the desired area. The cream itself is white and thick in consistancy. It is easy to apply, not at all greasy and absorbs into the skin very quickly which is just what you need when using it on a child.

I have tended to use Aqueous cream on my daughter when she has either had nappy rash when she was little (I tended to alternate between Aqueous Cream and Sudocrem but they both do exactly the same thing) or when she has had a a scab or scratch on her leg from falling over in the garden.

When I used to use it on my daughter for nappy rash I always found that anything she did in her nappy just rolled off of the barrier the cream had formed. It never seemed to be able to penetrate through the barrier. Also if she had any soreness from nappy rash which Mums & Dads will know can be a horrible bright red and very stinging, I always found the cream would take it down within a couple of hours and as long as I applied it with every nappy change for the rest of the day, the nappy rash was usually completely cleared up by the next morning. I found Aqueous Cream to be a good preventative measure for nappy rash too by just applying a little bit each day during one of my daughter's nappy changes.

As for scabs, the cream softens the skin around the scab and keeps it nice and supple. It also moiturises the skin and I have found stops the redness of new skin once the scab has fallen off.

Highly recommend cream and one that should be in every medicine cabinet.
