Masterplast Heat Pads: Banish them period blues! (691 words)

I suffer with terrible stomach cramps and back ache at the time of the month. Of course I take all sorts of tablets and medications to try help the situation but always find that paracetamol and a hot water work well together for me personally. Instead of having to make hot water bottles up these (by the looks of them) looked a great alternative idea to me and at a pound for a box of two of them (instead of usually costing a couple of quid a box) I actually picked up a couple of boxes of these 'Feminine' Heat Pads in Asda thinking I'd grabbed myself a bit of a bargain! The Packaging: The heat pads come in a hanging light blue coloured box ...  Read the complete review

Masterplast Heat Pads can be bought in either the general heat pad variety or the feminine variety. The pads both work in a similar way and so offer the same benefits in kind. The type in this review are the latter ones which are shaped like a sleep time eye shield/ mask, crossed with a small wing free panty liner, only slimmer and a little heavier. The Masterplast Heat Pads feminine variety are something that having seen reviewed here, I thought may be of use to me and I am happy to say they do work rather well. Just a shame I cannot recall who wrote the helpful review, but thanks for doing so, as I would never have tried the product ...  Read the complete review

Masterplast Heat Pads: Definately work but not for as long as stated (481 words)

When we moved home, I was helping to lift boxes. My husband told me not to lift heavy boxes and stick to the lighter boxes. I am stubborn and do not listen as I was on the thought process of "I am strong enough to lift the heavy boxes. I am not a weak girl". In the process of my stubborness, I pulled my back and was in agony! My agony lasted a couple of days and my Mum popped round to me with a pack of the Masterplast Heat Pads for me to try. She said she had them in the cupboard and thought they might help me. I was in pain and would try anything so grabbed them off of her and quickly read how to use them! The Masterplast Heat Pads come ...  Read the complete review

A fantastic little heat patch (892 words)

Anyone who suffers from back pain will know just how painful it can be. I was given a horrible old chair at work, that didn't support my back at all. In addition it was at the wrong height, and unable to be adjusted as the height adjusting lever had snapped off! I requested a new chair, only to be told they were considering giving the place a revamp and didn't want to waste funds buying old style furniture, so despite my best efforts I was stuck with this awful chair. Surprise surprise I got back ache. This got really bad, to the point where even lying down was really painful. My doctor gave me some painkillers, ordered my work to get me a better chair, and ...  Read the complete review

Masterplast Heat Pads: Chase Away Aches and Pains with These Discreet Pads (373 words)
by - written on 01/08/10 (Very useful, 67 readings)

I was a little sceptical about using the Masterplast heat pads to begin with, as although I do not doubt the effectiveness of heat pads in general, this product differs in that the pads are not applied directly to the skin. Often sustaining muscle and joint pains from running however, I was keen to test the pads to see whether my feeling was correct or not. Masterplast Heat Pads are sold in packs of two. Each pad is individually wrapped, and measures 10cm x 13cm. To use you simply unwrap the pad and place it on clothing that covers the area of your body you wish it to treat. The pads are self adhesive, so stick to your clothing without trouble. They are ...  Read the complete review
