Disadvantages: Unpleasant side effect

Be very wary of this product ! On a pharmacists recommendation in the USA I bought some Melatonin to help me sleep while there on holiday , I took it for 16 days over there plus another 7 when I returned home to help with the jetlag I always suffer badly with. Some 10 days after my return home I had an attack of amnesia which hospitalized me with a suspected stroke, I completely lost my memory for a few hours causing distress for my family. Everything gradually returned to normal again but I have no recollection of events that day, it was very frightening as I started to recover. On researching the problem I find Melatonin combined with trans-oceanic flight has been known to trigger Transient Global Amnesia (TGA) ........
If you do decide to take or are already taking it please tell someone, it could save a lot of heartache for yourself and nearest and dearest !
