Advantages: Helped me to stop smoking

Disadvantages: Looks like a tampon!

This little wonder works. I know because I was smoking for 10 years before I discovered this. I had previously tried the patches and every other trick in the book. It won't work for everyone but if you have a certain amount of will power and miss the hand-to-mouth action of a cigarette, this little beauty is for you.

Often mistake for a tampon, the inhalater, a discreet white plastic device, works by allowing controlled doesages of nictoine into your lungs. There is no carbon monoxide, tar or other harmful chemicals. My only gripe is why they designed it to look like a tampon....hardly great when you want to suck on it in public.

Aside from that, the inhalter works a treat though you may find yourself becoming addicted to that, instead of the nasty fags. I'm still trying to ween myself of chewing the white plastic device to death but understand that this is a thousand times better for you than fags.

Cost-wise, it is expensive, which is a shame considering similar NRT devices (patches for example) are so cheap. It is about £20 for a box, including a selcetion of nictone cartridges and the inhalator itself.

Summary: Expensive; but a great alternative to nasty fags

Might be expensive, but still cheaper, I should think, than smoking 40 a day (which is where I was 5 years ago).

For me, it was patches all the way, but glad these are helping you.

LOL re the tampon.

I just went down the pure will power route, as a 40 a day man I decided to stop when my son was born and had one last fag to celebrate his birth then binned what I had left in the hospital bin and have not looked back. Smoke free for six and a half years now! - Colin
