Advantages: It feels like smoking but without the health risks.

Disadvantages: None that I can see.

I was really proud of myself for quitting smoking as soon as I found out that I was pregnant - the trouble is that the day after the birth I rewarded myself with a huge cup of strong coffe and a cigerette. One turned to two, then five, then before I knew it I was smoking regularly again.

What a stupid thing to do - I know - and after eight months, I decided to quit last week.

There are so many reason to stop smoking, my reasons are:
* The smell is disgusting and sticks onto my hair and clothes.
* I am getting back into my fitness and cigarettes make me out of breathe quicker.
* It is a waste of money.
* The most important thing is of course to save my health and lower the risk of cancer - I want to live a long healthy life to see my son grow up.

Browsing the shelves of Boots for an aid to help me quit, I noticed the nicorette inhalator. It seemed to me like it could help to combat cravings and break the habit.
It is basically a small white plastic tube, into which a nicotine cartridge is placed. Puffing on the inhalator gives you a little bit of nicotine as well as giving you something to do with your hands to mimic smoking.

The starter pack which contains the inhalator and six cartridges cost me just under £7, and a pack of 24 refill cartridges is £15. I originally thought that this was expensive but when compared to the price of cigarettes its not too bad.

I was never a big smoker really - having between 5 and 10 cigarettes a day, therefore I don't use as many of the cartridges as was suggested to me by the pharmasist. I tend to use just one or two a day , taking a few puffs at times when I would usually have a fag.

It has been just seven days since I replaced the nasty stinky fags with the nice shiny plastic tube, and it's going really well. I admit to cheating once when a friend offered me a ciggy I succumbed, however one in seven days isn't too bad.
I feel like the nicorette inhalator has really helped me as it stops my cravings, but mainly because holding it between my fingers makes it feel more satisfying - sounds crazy but if you smoke you'll understand what I mean.
Theres still a long way to go but I am confident that I will stay smoke free now, and part of my success will be due to this product - I definatley reccommend it.

Summary: Try it, it's a great idea.
