Advantages: It works for most people., Easy and clean., No tars, no smells, no fires.
Disadvantages: Too easy to use., Easy to get hooked., U.K. not well supplied
I can happily endorse the inhalator as an effective aid to giving up the dreaded weed. As an older person (66) I have gradually lost breathing ability, mainly due to having been a moderate smoker since leaving school. Amazingly, the concern that smoking was making life potentially shorter had the effect of making it harder to give up, I was worried and worry makes me twitchy and the only thing that calms me down is... you've guessed, a ciggy. Discovery of the Nicorette helped me kick the smoking habit, it gave the nicotine boost without the tars, smells and expense. But, and it is a big 'but', after nearly two years, how do I give up the substitute? The instructions warn against the possible transfer of craving to the inhalator and advises seeing your GP if you get hooked. Has anyone ever tried this? I have a choice of two GPs, one smokes like a chimney, the other is disdainful of any difficulty in saying 'no'. My German friends get the same brand on sale but have an extra advantage of a number of strengths, going from 10 to 1 mg cartridges in three or four steps. This does make it easier to manage a reducing dependence of active use. A good product then but be aware of the pitfalls for a weak willed person. i.e.smoker.
