Product Information:- Nicotine Patches are a type of NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy) used to try and help you stop smoking. NRT is when you replace smoking with an alternative healthier way to get your fix of nicotine. (It is like a heroin addicts methadone.) Nicorette Patches come in 3 different strengths and are marked as step 1 (15mg) step 2 (10mg) and step 3 (5mg). These are 16-hour patches, which means the nicotine is released equally over that many hours (so really they are only useful for 16 hours) The patches are a 'Nude' colour and you stick them to your body so the nicotine can be absorbed. The step 3 (5mg) patch is used ... Read the complete review

Zero To Hero, Or Public Enemy No1 To Acceptably Compliant? Bollocks to that. Just Give Me A Smoke Before I Kill Some One. Welcome, my friends, to the art of packing in smoking, Part 2. Nicorette Patches 15mg patch, one per day for a month. 10mg patch, one per day for two weeks. 5mg patch, one per day for two weeks. Seven per box. Cost depends where you get them from, but can be anything up to twenty quid for a box (a weeks supply). Also available on prescription from your GP in the UK. Ok, there is one rule you must remember when quitting smoking. It’s this; whilst you’re engaged in the bitter struggle ... Read the complete review

OK, here I go , at it again, for the 2nd time, if you've been here long enough you'll know I promised to give up smoking in the New Year with Nicotine CQ, after 3 weeks of numb arms and vivid dreams I went back to the evil weed. Then last week I though 'bugger it, I've got to give up some time, may as well be now', dragged the other half into Boots, pondered over the products available and decided on the Nicotinell patches. They also do the gum but I'm not a huge fan of gum and I know I'll end up completely hooked on it and soon I'll be on 40-50 bits of gum a day! Of course Nicotinell was more appealing because Boots were doing a ... Read the complete review

Amidst all of the trauma I am going through at the moment I decided to give up smoking again. Firstly it would give me something to focus on and more importantly, if I can give up now I must be a superhero! In the past I have tried gum, the inhalator, cold turkey, chewing paper, some herbal potion and various other crazy methods but to no avail. This time, with inspiration from a close 20-a-day friend who has recently given up, my weapon of choice is patches. The only concern I had were my friend's report of strange dreams. I kind of enjoy my dreams as they are always pleasant and this made me a little wary of buying the same patches as him. There ... Read the complete review

NICORETTE PATCHES I can only describe the pain, no maybe I had better not. Deciding to use the patches was not a hard one as they cost roughly the same as I was spending on ciggs anyway. So once the choice had been made I dutifully bought a box. Instructions in hand the next morning (no time like the present) I stuck one on my arm, so geared up to not smoking I didn’t give it much thought. The next morning taking the old one off I noticed a slight reddening around the outside of the circle and itching, but I just thought it was the boost of nicotine. I then moved to my back the next time and found it very painful, but I persevered, and when removing ... Read the complete review
