Advantages: NICE RED AND SORE SKIN
Disadvantages: RED BLEEDING SKIN
NICORETTE PATCHES I can only describe the pain, no maybe I had better not. Deciding to use the patches was not a hard one as they cost roughly the same as I was spending on ciggs anyway. So once the choice had been made I dutifully bought a box. Instructions in hand the next morning (no time like the present) I stuck one on my arm, so geared up to not smoking I didn’t give it much thought. The next morning taking the old one off I noticed a slight reddening around the outside of the circle and itching, but I just thought it was the boost of nicotine. I then moved to my back the next time and found it very painful, but I persevered, and when removing this one it had actually eaten into my flesh round the outside. Enough was enough and I knew when to give up. It must have been an allergic reaction and took quite a while to clear up. So I don’t really know if they work for the purpose they were invented for or not. Cos. I’m never trying them again. Thankfully I don’t have to.

- 10/08/00 It is recommended to test if you are allergic to the adhesive used by the patches. Some people do have allergies to some sticking plasters. Maybe a different brand would help? |
