Nasosal for children is a nasal decongestant. It is widely available in supermarkets, Boots and chemists and priced at £2.33 currently in Tesco.

Nasosal is a sterile saline solution available in a 10ml dropper bottle. It is suitable for babies (from newborn) and children.

The saline solution contains Sodium Chloride 0.9% w/w, Benzalkonium Chloride Solution 0.02% w/w, Water. The preservative Benzalkonium Chloride Solution enables the product to remain usable for up to 4 weeks.

You can use one or two drops in each nostril as needed, the directions are the same for babies and children.

I have used nasosal for clearing my son's blocked nose on a number of occasions over the past year. The first time I used it he was quite young (about 3months) so was quite easy to administer, but the next time I used it I found it harder as he kept moving his head as I tried to squeeze the drops in. This meant he ended up with a couple of drops in his eye and a couple of drops on his cheek!! Once it was actually in his nose I found that it was very effective in helping to clear his blocked nose.

Useful for the inevitable blocked nose in children especially young babies when other products arre not advised for use.
