Advantages: you can somewhere else

Disadvantages: its got dreadful customer service

If you think optical express is bad you are right, if you think it bad being a customer it even worse as a member of staff. I like to think of myself as a dedicated and hard working member of staff, but also want to the best for our customers, make sure they get the best glasses for them not for the company, they get them on time and that they are made right. Now seeming the company operates as an optician you would think this would be possible the vast majority of the time. Sadly this is rarely the case with glasses and with contact lens the computerised system can generated problems and complaints of mystifing complexity to solve. I work for the company for a long while and dont know if it got worse or just more aware of it. But the staff are undervalued new starts start with higher wages, training is immensely variable so staff through no fault of thier own have varying levels of competence. Head office is unhelpful and just as unsupportive to staff as it to customers. frequently dont tell you about delays until you phone them, usually when the customer is in the shop and asking whats happening. they known thier been a problem for days, customers services are a joke. seriously if your looking for an opticains go else where. i am looking for work some where else.
