Advantages: Can't see any!

Disadvantages: bad customer service, unsound and unprofessional advice

I recently had an appointment for a consultation regarding laser eye surgery at Optical Express, London, Monument branch.

I had to wait unattended for a full hour before someone handed me a questionnaire. The waiting area, which boasted an out of order coffee dispenser, resembled more that of a dole office than that of a high end private medical facility (drafty basement, uncomfortable and crowded chairs, inattentive receptionist, shoddy environment).

The staff appeared simply too young to be able to give sound advice, including a perhaps 20 year old laser-surgery 'counsellor'.
When I was finally seen by an equally young optometrist, he simply ignored my remark of being disappointed for having to wait unattended for almost an hour.

The answers I received to specific questions regarding presbyopia treatment, appeared to be pulled out of thin air, without scientific substance!

I am a doctor myself and expected, that a company who sells top priced private medical treatment to cash patients, would understand the game of good customer service to perfection. Far from it! I was treated like an anonymous idiot.
They even didn't want to hand me my eye prescription, as the examination was part of a free consultation. How pathetic!

P.S.: I since asked several Ophthalmologists at work if they know of Ophthalmologists who had laser eye surgery done - and they all answered 'NO!!!'.

It's like chefs who refuse to taste their own food!

Summary: Nothing good to say about them at all!
