~~What does it do?~~ I have suffered with hayfever every year since I was a teenager and have tried various tablets, nasal sprays, eye mists etc. over the years and haven't found anything that is effective enough to be worth bothering with. The exception to this are eye drops which I find to be a cheap, simple way of offering immediate relief to itchy, puffy eyes. ~~What are they like?~~ These Optrex Itchy Eye Drops are available from chemists (without a prescription) and supermarkets and are suitable for adults and children. I have been suffering badly with hay fever and allergies this year, it was probably the worst summer I have ever had. I had been at work over summer and my eyes kept watering and were stinging that much from the itching and with working on a computer this was definitely not good for me. This is why I decided to go to Boots and see if there were any kind of eye drops for what I was going through. Even with taking medication my eyes can still sometimes bare the brunt of it if I have been exposed to a lot of pollen. I bought some Optrex itchy eye relief drops last summer during a time when we had been on holiday in the Lake District and my eyes were feeling particularly bad and the local chemist didn't have any of my usual allergy eye drops. I was hoping that these would be a good substitute and they were though I still ... Read the complete review

The final weeks of June are hell for my eyes. Hayfever makes them sting, red, itchy and just generally uncomfortable from morning to night. Once my eyes start itching it feels like nothing will sooth them. I generally, despite all of my willpower, scratch them lightly but then it gets worse and I must scratch more, making them hurt eventually. This is where these drops come in. If I use the drops at the early stages of my eyes being itchy and use these instead of the gentle scratching, my itchy eyes generally subside for a few hours and I do not have to worry about them getting worse. One bottle, although small, goes a long way due to ... Read the complete review
