Advantages: It can be very relaxing (or stimulating!) for some people.

Disadvantages: It's not very durable, can be expensive in some shops and not everyone likes it.

Me and my partner (at the time) were walking around a market in London when a stall owner pounced on him with one of these Orgasmatron thingys. She started rubbing it up and down his head and he couldn't get away quick enough! I asked if it felt really horrible but he said "no, it felt so good it was giving me a hard-on"! Lol! So later that year, for his birthday, I bought him one. It cost me £6.99 in a 'spiritual' shop but since then I've seen various other brands for much cheaper prices.

So what exactly is an Orgasmatron? It's a head massaging device with soft metal arms that are bent in a curved way to massage various points on your scalp.

The regular Orgasmatron (sometimes called a Genie) doesn't need any batteries and the packaging said something about the handle containing special crystals and that using it would improve circulation. I'm very sceptical about this but as it wasn't bought for that purpose it doesn't matter to me.

It came in a long cardboard box and the product itself was in a black velvet-like drawstring bag. It came with some very basic instructions of how to bend the twelve arms and how to use it.

I had some difficulty bending each arm into the best position and for the first few goes it needed a lot of adjusting to get it just right, but once it was, my partner really enjoyed the feel of it - he said it felt relaxing, yet strangely erotic at the same time! He would often have little shivers run down his body during its use.

When he tried using it on me, I hated it! It felt scratchy on my scalp and it really irritated me. It made me shiver a few times but not in a pleasant way. However, I am one of those people who really dislikes anyone playing with my hair so this is probably why.

Once all the arms are in a good position for you, you can just leave them like that or flatten it down again for storage. We started off flattening ours each time just because we had limited space but then the fuss of getting it back to the way it was previously got annoying so we then left it. However, we found that the constant adjusting had made the arms loosen and some just wouldn't stay in the right position anymore; they begin to bunch together so that they were in little groups of three instead of being spread out.

Eventually the arms became so wobbly that we just had to bin the thing as it just wasn't working properly anymore.

Overall, I think it's a good novelty product but there are no real health benefits other than it can relax (or excite!) you. I proved that it's not to everyone's taste and it's definitely not worth paying too much for as it's not very durable.

Summary: If you see a cheap one it might be worth buying just to try it out.
