Advantages: Easy to use, Very good value, Accurate
Disadvantages: Not as easy to use as the top brands
This is definately the cheapest pregnancy test I have seen around! It costs around £5.95 for a single test and £7.75 for a double test (which at the moment has an extra test free), although sometimes it has special offers and you will find it even cheaper. Unlike the Reveal test, this one is very simple to use. You do still have to pee into a little pot but the test is a little stick you just place in the pot and leave for as little as 1 minute (although it is best if you wait the whole 5 minutes). it is more than 99% accurate (or so they say!) and can be used at any time of the day, although they do recommend you use your morning sample as you will get a more accurate result. In my opinion home pregnancy tests are very overpriced and I would never spend more than £8 on a test so for me this was ideal. Even if it is not as simple to use as a Clear Blue or Predictor I wouldn't pay an extra £5 for ease of use. As a pharmacy assistant I always advise customers to buy the Rapid Self Test as it worked for me, and we haven't had one complaint yet. In fact we use the Rapid Professional Test when we do instore pregnancy testing. If you want a test that is fairly simple to use, cheap and accurate then the Rapid test is the one for you. - 11/12/00 I must admit that any test where I have to pee into a little pot is a big no no for me. I will happily pay a few pounds more for the convinience of not having to do this. If you are pg you get to practice pee'ing into enough pots anyway <g> |
