I just thought I'd let you all know that kelp is known to help with weight loss. There is a high concentration of iodine in it which stimulates the thyroid gland. I took it for a month a long with a healthy diet. Although it didn't produce a miricle it did seem to give a better effect than just a healthy diet on its own. I must say though that I didn't have a vast amount of weight to lose so it would be interesting to see if its helped other people

To get more info on Kelp tablets read around on nutrition websites. There is a definate scientific link to iodine and thyroid stimulation, but more it written about it in natural health areas than medical areas. Give it a try.
