~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Seven Seas ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For centuries cod liver oil was used in the fight against poor health, especially for bone disorders such as Rickets. So eventually, trawler owners of Hull invested in the production of Cod liver oil and in 1935 it was first marketed and called Seven Seas. A lot has happened since then. During the second world war, cod liver oil ( and orange juice! ) was given out free to pregnant women and children and this continued long after the war. Not long after, this known and trusted brand started to develop new products. Cod liver oil was now available in capsule form. Eventually, with the help of much research, Seven Seas started productin products which were pressed from the meat of oily fish and high in Omega 3, these were especially good in the fight against heart disease. They also developed new ways of taking the supplements and new flavours which gave us the seven seas we know today... no longer must it be forced down the throat! Seven Seas One A Day Pure Cod Liver Oil Plus Multivitamins ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have tried loads of Seven Seas products, but this by far is my favourite. It comes in the usual style seven seas capsule box with the same red and yellow design, and usually contains 30 or 60 capsules. It is as it says, Cod liver oil, but has the added benefit of containing multivitamins and having added Omega 3 Fish Oil. This product helps to keep joints supple and flexible, helps to release energy, helps maintain strong bones and teeth and helps maintain healthy hair, skin and nails. The Omega 3 promotes all round well being and good health. It is also high in vitamins A,D and E. These capsules contain: Cod liveroil Omega 3 Vitamin A, D, E, C, B6 and B12 Thiamin Riboflavin Niacin Biothin Folic Acid Pantothenic Acid And its ingredients are as follows... Maize starch,glycerol, gelling agent, disodium phosphate, colour, iron oxides, cod liver oil, hydrogenated vegetable oil, fish oil, vit C, beeswax, calcium, pantothenate, nicotinamide, emulsifiers, folic acid and Vits E, A, B6, B1, B2, B12, D. Although it is hugely beneficial to everyone, it is, as always, recommended women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy should first consult a health professional before starting to take any vitamins or minerals, just to be on the safe side. Adults and children over 12 years may take one capsule a day with a drink, and should not exceed this dose. Did it work for me? ~~~~~~~~~~~ I started taking this after I had my second baby, I felt very tired all the time, my nails were weak and my skin was terrible due to all the hormonal changes, also my hair was falling out! I am now happy to report I once again have a full healthy head of hair and the improvement to my general health and well being has been amazing. I strongly recommend this product to anyone who feels their diet is lacking in essential vitamins and nutrients, or anyone who has been feeling under the weather or simply tired and sluggish. It can only be beneficial and certainly wont do you any harm! * Seven seas products are also sold in liquid form and they also sell oils specially designed to meet the needs of growing children. All seven seas products are really cheap, compared to the price of some supplements. They are widely available in supermarkets, chemists and health stores.
Seven Seas have served me very well over the years as I have definitely seen a lot of positive benefits after taking them. As a child I was always somewhat smaller than average, skinny and just generally not as healthy as I should look. And so I was given a lot of vitamins, tonics and oils to try. I have tried a wide variety from Seven seas over the years, so it would probably be too much if I mentioned them all, however, I will certainly focus on the two which I think are the best. Seven Seas Orange Syrup and Cod Liver Oil: =============================== It's important that it's the orange flavoured one and not just the capsules or the plain oil itself, because I would not have allowed a spoonful of this to come near me if it had not been orange flavoured. It may be a little too sweet for some adults but definitely would be a favourite for kids. All the benefits of cod liver are contained in this mixture including vitamins to help promote healthy joints, hair, nails and good vision. Two teaspoonfuls (10ml) are to be taken daily (only 5ml for pregnant women or those who are lactating). It is around £2.99 for a 300ml bottle. It is difficult to measure how effective this was, but I would say that I have head of healthy shiny hair, nice nails, skin and reasonably good vision. This next one is the best and so good that I always have a bottle of this stored in the cupboard. Seven Seas Vitamin and Mineral Tonic for adults: ================================== It is intended for use during times of tiredness often felt after illness or during periods when you're feeling run-down and exhausted. The tonic contains a variety of vitamins and minerals to help replace lost vitality - vitamins A & D, calcium, iron, potassium and magnesium. Two tea spoonfuls to be taken after every meal 2-3 times a day. This is so effective that a difference can be felt in a matter of minutes. After taking this I generally feel much warmer, with more energy and more alert. Do only take this only when you need to, otherwise your body will get used to it and will work less effectively for when you need it. At £5.99 for a small 300ml bottle, it doesn't come cheap - but is really effective and worth it for your health - plus you won't be drinking it anyway. However, I do find that it seems to work less effectively the longer the bottle has been opened, say, for more than 6 months. So, not really worth buying the larger 500ml bottle unless you're always ill and with a lot of family members. It has a nice pleasant orangey taste, although can be a little too sweet for some, and that is the only downside I can think of. Definitely a Super Duper Tonic! With so many 'health' supplements out there on the market these days it is getting difficult to know on which to make a good choice. However, Seven Seas have been around since my mum and dad were kids and for the results they produce we have no hesitation to think of them whenever we need some health supplements. ©Leighsady 2008 (also published on Ciao! Seven seas is a well known brand that has been established for many years. They produce vitamins and tonic. I take the vitamin and mineral tonic when im ill or run down. It has a very pleasant taste, of oranges and contains extract of orange. Seven seas tonic helps build up lost vitality after illness, helps with loss of appetite and energy. It is good if you are just tired and run down. This tonic contains vitamin A, vitamin D, iron, potassium, calcium, magnesium and copper. This tonic really does work when your tired and run down after illness or just exhaustion from too much work. If you take it when your ill it will help you fight off the germs and get better quicker and give you strength. It is also safe to take if you are pregnant, you just take a smaller dose. This tonic comes in a dark blue box with pictures of oranges on it. It can be found in most chemists and supermarkets and comes in two sizes. For the bigger size 300ml it costs between £4.19 - £6.99 I find that supermarkets are usually cheaper. The tonic has a long date on it so if you don't use it all it will keep for a few years! If your feeling run down or ill I highly recommend buying this product.
In this modern day of fast living, we sometimes get run down. Most of us work longer hours and do shift patterns at work, this doesn't help us to feel fit anfd healthy. A few months ago I got to the point where I was walking around like a zombie. My wife also felt run down and what we needed was a quick pick-me-up. It had to be something that worked fast as we both couldn't cope with what life was throwing at us. My wife does most of the shopping for things like toiletries and discovered Seven seas Vitamin and Mineral Tonic. She goes into our local Consumers Choice which is a bargain health and beauty shop. She bought a large 300ml bottle for £4.19, she said she has seen it in Boots for £6.99, so that was a big saving. The liquid is Orange in colour and tastes like undiluted orange cordial. All you do is take 10ml or one dessertspoonful three times a day. Women who are pregnant can take it, but only half the dosage three times a day. You take this after meals and if you find it too strong , you can add water to it, to dilute it down a bit. I actually love the taste of it, you can tell it's full of vitamins just by the smell of it. It contains Vitamins A and D , Iron, calcium Glycerophosphate, Minerals and natural orange extract. After just a few days of taking this product we both felt a lot better. It can also be helpful for people with a loss of appetite or if you have been ill, it restores your vitality giving you that wellbeing feeling again. We will always keep a bottle of this in the house as it is very useful, I suppose you could take it everyday, I don't think it will do you any harm.
