Smint ***** What are they? ************ Small hard pip-sized sweets. What are they for? *************** Though they are classed as sweets, they sugar free - and because of this, they are often promoted as the sugar free dental sweet for the family. Their ice mint flavoured version appeared first on the market and was also popularised as a breath freshener. I generally see these as a breath fresheners rather than sweets, so they're pretty good as an alternative to after dinner mints. What's special about them? ********************** As well as aspartame, they also contain xylitol, which is ... Read the complete review

I recently purchased a packet of Smint wildberry for 39p and although I only have one every so often I have found that I am quite partial to them. The bright red plastic container which houses the small kind of heart shaped sweets has a press down white top which dispenses the sweets one at a time....................handy. I have perhaps ate about 12 -15 sweets and on shaking the box find there are quite a few left so my 39p has been vlue for money up till now. The sweets contain xylitol which is a substance frequently used to aid fresh breath, and as such they are advertised on the front of the box a freshness and dental care. The small sweets are most ... I've always had a problem with the staple of breath fresheners - the chewing gum. I find that any more than a minute of chewing and I being to get jaw-ache, not to mention that fact the, more often than not, the taste has gone from the gum after that minute! Also, most suck-able mints are quite big and often last much longer than I would like. Ahhh, and then came the Smint! With each Smint being the size of a small tablet, and yet somehow packing the punch of an entire pack of chewing gum, it was a revelation for my mouth (a little dramatic, I know, but this really was a wonderful discovery for me!). The immediate flavour is very intense which is what I am ... Read the complete review

Smint was first launched in 1994 by its parent company Chupa Chups. Remember them? They were the ones who made the weird and wonderful different flavours of lollipops. Yummy, but of course bad for your teeth. Smint is now available in a range of flavours including mint, spearmint, peppermint, winter ice, liquorice, lemon, peach and wildberry. There are even different variations of Smint such as those that whiten teeth in two flavors: fresh mint and strawberry. The Smint gum is available in four flavors: fresh mint, strong mint, strawberry and blackberry. There is definitely a good range of variety in the Smint product and Im sure there is something for ... My mum had a large box of packs of SMINT and gave me a pack free so I can't say I buy these often but looking up the price they cost around 72p for a 8g plastic box dispenser containing 40 pastilles. The container is a dark green and the flavour of the mints I had recieved was peppermint but there are other flavours in different colour containers such as Mint, Spearmint, Winter Ice and fruit flavours such as Lemon, Peach, Wildberry but I can't say I have see many of these other flavours around. There is a website called www.smint.com with lots of information on the mints which is listed on the back of the container. Apparently they are ... Read the complete review
