Advantages: No more chewing gum

Disadvantages: Dispensing can get tricky towards end of pack

I've always had a problem with the staple of breath fresheners - the chewing gum. I find that any more than a minute of chewing and I being to get jaw-ache, not to mention that fact the, more often than not, the taste has gone from the gum after that minute! Also, most suck-able mints are quite big and often last much longer than I would like.

Ahhh, and then came the Smint! With each Smint being the size of a small tablet, and yet somehow packing the punch of an entire pack of chewing gum, it was a revelation for my mouth (a little dramatic, I know, but this really was a wonderful discovery for me!). The immediate flavour is very intense which is what I am looking for in a mint. The Smint itself lasts about 5 minutes in the mouth and the flavour is noticeable for approximately 20 further minutes but leaves without any breath worries for considerably longer than that. I love these mints so much that I have several packs scattered in different locations - work, home, car - so that they are never to far away; who knows when a potential kissing situation will arise!

The Smints themselves are triangular in shape with an 'S' engraved on each one. The dispenser is rectangular in shape and as a triangular push button at the top (with the same 'S' engraved on it). When pressed, a shoot at the bottom of the pack lowers and one singular Smint is dispensed. A genius invention that only struggles when there are only a few Smints left in the packet meaning you have to jiggle everything around a lot!

Smint is available in several flavours including mint, spearmint and peppermint. My favourite is the standard mint flavour.

The main ingredients are Sweeteners, Xylitol, flavoring, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, and phenylalanine. The Xylitol in Smint is said to lower the temperature in your mouth by 10 °C! It also helps to reduce plaque by attracting and starving the micro-organisms that cause tooth decay - freshners breath and gives healthy teeth; what a bonus!

Smint took 4 years of development after Chupa Chups realised that the adult market wanted a sugar free mint. This was Chupa Chups first adult product released which hit the market in 1994.

There are 40 Smints in each pack and the net weight is 8g

I think the ingredients are useful, especially for people who want to avoid certain things or can't have certain things. Great review

Hiya! Some nice opinion here, though in my opinion (and do keep in mind it IS just my opinion) you don't really need the ingredients and nutritional (!) information.

C heers!
