Advantages: Friendly staff, well decorated stores, wide choices in all things!

Disadvantages: Few record keeping problems, but everything solved quickly.

Specsavers is a nation wide opticians service available in most towns and cities. I have been a customer/patient of them for many years now and have found the service pretty agreeable, its an opticians, it is never going to be highlight of my day, but it is not the worst thing out there either!

The stores I have found comfortable and welcoming, very light and spacious in design, and the open plan apparent in most helps take away any sort of medical strictness that you find in most health facilities. The range of glasses is varied, from expensive designer specs to cheaper, but still surprisingly fashionable and attractive pairs. Many stores also have monitors with built in digital cameras that allow you to photograph yourself in multiple pairs and compare them on screen, a lot easier than standing helplessly holding glasses and trying to figure which ones look best, all the options are displayed together!

I have found the staff always helpful and friendly, what surprises me most is they don't always seem to automatically upsell, where they will suggest more expensive products (such as daily lenses instead of monthly) they will also be honest enough to say that these would be a luxury and not at all neccesary and upon refusal the upsell is not pushed.

The range of products available is brilliant, from the basic needs to more complex lenses and options. I have a monthly contact lens direct debit deal from them where for only eight pound per month I get free check ups, and my lenses and solutions sent to my door through the post, and again I have never found any issues with this service.

One problem I have encountered has been the losing of my records twice, where I have repeatedly been sent letters stating I needed an apoointment when I had already recently had one, however this was solved both times with on phonecall.

Altogether I have no real faults with Specsavers, and would suggest it a good opticians choice to all.

Summary: Altogether a good opticians, they do their jobs right what more do you need!
