I have worn glasses and contact lenses for over 20 years and received shoddy (and overpriced) service from every opticians on the high street (not to mention some ghastly online 'retailer') except from Specsavers. In my experience it is rare to find a company that undercuts it's rivals for price (by over half!!!) and yet provides superior professional standards and quality of products! The optometrists and equipment in my local branch (Guildford) are first class.

I have been fleeced by every other optician on the High Street over the years selling me this coating and that frame, but when I went to specsavers they explained everything clearly and let me choose what I wanted, rather than what they wanted to sell me. I visited one of the supermarket opticians for a quote and although they were as cheap as specsavers the frames looked awful and the staff were clueless!

I saved over £200 from the quote I got at Vision Express and £175 from the quote from Boots, and I got a pair of sunglasses free!!! I cannot talk about all the other hundreds of Specsavers around the country but the one in Guildford I would recommend to my Mother in a heartbeat (and I have!!).

This is the first time I have written a review for any companys' customer service, and I think the reason for this is this is the first time I have been this impressed by anyone!!!
