Advantages: Prices of the glasses

Disadvantages: Have problems putting your prescription in your glasses!

Where do I start! Having been loyal customers (both me and the wife!) of Specsavers in Bath for 16 years, last year we decided we could take no more. There had been many mistakes whilst we were customers, which included both me and my wife collecting our glasses (on different occasions) to find that they had put another persons prescription in them. Another time I collection my glasses and couldn't see out of them. Specsavers assured me that I just needed to adjust to them, however, I finally found out what was wrong, they had used an old prescription from 5 years ago!

Last year both me and the wife decided that we would like some new glasses so off we went to Specsavers in Bath, we both ordered glasses, however, when my wife went to collect hers they had not put on one of the coatings. This was then done, however, within a few weeks of her having the glasses the coatings all started to break down on both lenses. Many arguments later they were going to replace one lens! A few more arguments later now they are replacing two lenses! We decided that we deserved better customer service than this and vowed never to go into Specsavers again.

The only positive thing about them are that they do a great range of glasses (catering for many budgets) including a good range of designer glasses and the prices are reasonable. The price on the glasses includes their standard lenses, however, any coatings i.e. anti reflection, reactions etc, are extra unless they are doing any special offers.

I personally would not recommend them to anyone as I know we are not alone with the problems we have encountered with Specsavers.

Summary: Don't bother
