... helped me to apply this cream to the base of my back and across the back of my shoulders. It comes in a flexible tube container, much like a slightly large tube of toothpaste. The cream is white and medium level consistency. It stinks, though. If you can stand the smell of this cream then you are half way there. I only needed to use a tiny amount on both my shoulders and then another small amount in the groove at the base of my spine, where the muscles were really tight and achy. It smelled stronger and my hu...more

Tesco heat rub I have been preoccupied the last few months decorating and having a thorough clear out and I have gradually developed a dull ache in my right shoulder. Due, I believe from the fact I am only five foot two, and have had to stretch up with the paint roller to reach. However that aside, I have been finding it uncomfortable to sleep as I tend to sleep on my right side too. So I popped down to Tesco for something to give me some light relief. I initially headed down there with the intention of purchasing Ralgex cream as I have experience using this and my family have sworn by it. So I headed to the pharmacy department and found a huge ...  Read the complete review

An effective heat rub from Tesco (676 words)

I have suffered with lower back pain for the past 6 years following a car accident and whilst my GP is more than happy to prescribe me Tramadol I am concerned about the long term effects and the fact that the drug is highly addictive. Over the years I have tried various methods to alleviate my pain with the most effective being a TENS machine, but unfortunately, I am limited to the amount of uses per day. I find some days are worse than others, particularly if I have been carrying out housework or gardening as the pain will move into my buttocks and legs. I have used many of the heat rubs that are available; one of which belongs to Tesco and this review discusses my ..  Read the complete review

Tesco Heat Rub: PAIN! (549 words)
by - written on 09/02/12 (Very useful, 107 readings)
Rating:

I have never really had the need or ailment to have to use deep heat before experiencing a quite bad and painful pulled leg muscle last year, since then it has sporadically resurfaced. As I like to grab a bargain and am of the opinion that the majority of own brand products are no different to branded goods I wanted to try the Tesco's own Heat Rub over the more widely known Deep Heat, which was the last heat cream I purchased. The Product This is an external pain relief cream; the heat rub comes in a tube in a white and burnt orange cardboard box. There is an image of a man's back and shoulders with a heat spot over where he is rubbing in the cream ...  Read the complete review

Eases those aches and strains (1159 words)

After getting a few muscle strains from going to the gym and pushing myself hubby suggested that I tried some Deep Heat to help ease the pain. Off I went to Tesco but fortunately I spotted Tesco's own make of Deep Heat as I was not prepared to pay the price of the branded versions of this. I had the choice of spray or cream but only the cream came in the cheaper Tesco own brand so this is what I opted for. ~~PACKAGING~~ The cream comes in a cardboard box which is white and orange in colour. The product name and Tesco logo is easy to spot on it and there is a picture of shoulders with cream being rubbed into them on the 3 sides. The back of the box ...  Read the complete review

Tesco Heat Rub: Helping to ease my muscular pain (466 words)

As I suffer from muscular aches and pains, I try whenever possible not to keep on popping pills. Ibuprofen, generally speaking, seem to work for me when it comes to muscle inflammation, but I do suffer from burning pains in my tummy if I take too many over a longer period of time. I used to use Ralgex for my muscular aches and pains, but I have found this seems to be really expensive. I opted for Tesco's own brand alternative, as it is much cheaper (and I do love Tesco's). This cost me £2.59 for a 35g tube. That worked out incredibly cheap when compared to the branded products, which basically contain exactly the same ingredients and work in the same ...  Read the complete review
