Tesco OpticiansNewest Review: ... and the prices ranged from £89 to £159 and they were all on buy one, get one free. Tesco also have their own range of frames and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection, however, I'm a bit of a label fiend so made my choice from the designer end. I asked the sales advisor for advice in relation to the size and shape of frame that would suit me. I have a round face that I really didn't ... more |

I've felt for a while that my eyesight was deteriorating but it's been quite gradual so I had just adapted to sitting closer to the screen in meetings which is where my lack of focus was most prevelant. My job role changed which meant I had to do lots of driving and when recently, I noticed I was struggling to read road signs until I was pretty much on top of them, I decided it was time to get sorted and a some Tesco Optician vouchers landing on my door mat persuaded me make the call there and then. I was shocked and pleased, after dialling the 0845 number and providing my location, to be offered a choice of three appointments that very day! I ... Read the complete review

Recently I received some Clubcard vouchers in the post pertaining to Tesco Opticians. One of the vouchers was for a free eye test, so I thought I may as well give them a go since I had nothing to lose! Booking an appointment was done via a call to an 0845 number. I was able to book an appointment convenient to me, within about 10 days of calling. Upon arrival, I handed over my voucher & after only a couple of minutes wait, I was taken through for some initial tests (such as the horrid 'puff of air' glaucoma test!). After a couple more minutes of waiting, I was called for the main test. The optician wasn't overly-friendly, but was ... Read the complete review

I decided two or three months back that my vision was not excatly spot on and began that ever difficult decision of which optician should I go and see. I noticed when I was in my local tesco store that they had apointments available for the same day, and not only that it was free, how can you fall off with such an offer. I actualy ended up making an apointment for about a week later as there was no apointments at a convinient time, I would advise ringing in advance as they seem to get busy. When I returned for my eye examination I was first seen by a woman who did a pre-screening procedure which involved using something out of star trek to take ... Read the complete review

Everyone in my family wears glasses and I had been dodging being a full time four eyes myself. I glasses 'for when I needed them' but rarely wore them, but sooner or later I had to face up to the fact I didn't recognise people I knew if I saw them in the street until they were practically sitting on me. My old glasses weren't making much difference either so I felt a trip to the opticians was in order. I had used Specsavers in the past, as I thought their 'buy one get one free' on glasses was such a good deal. Now it seems all opticians seem to be doing this offer, I guess they had to, to compete. I receive reminder letters from Specsavers regularly telling me ... Read the complete review
