Imagine the scene you live in a household of five: Three of who are ‘lazy can’t be bothered’ teenagers. Now imagine you enter the bathroom early in the morning to clean your teeth. You grab your toothbrush (thank goodness they make different coloured brushes is what I say!) You reach for the toothpaste and “YUCK” the head is covered in dried up toothpaste. You know that if you squeeze the tube, you’ll either get a blob of the dried up hardened toothpaste OR a little trickle of fresher stuff, but maybe not enough to clean your teeth.

This is the scene in our household, and despite my attempt at trying to train the said teenagers into keeping the nozzle clean, alas I failed miserably in my quest, and it remains the same today as it was yesterday!

Faced with the terrible scenario what options do you have?

1. Well the first is to clean the head under running fresh water, and gently easy the solid toothpaste from the end of the tube.
2. Buy smaller tubes
3. Buy a new tube every time it gets clogged up
4. Try the new Theramed perfect toothpaste

Having tried the first-with little effect: and the second & third (which worked out more expensive): I decided that when I saw the advert on the TV for new Theramed stay clean tube, I had to have it!

Popping along to my local Co-op, I spied the new toothpaste on the shelf and pick it up. It was more expensive at around £1.80 for 100ml.

The stay clean nozzle seems to work by: pushing out an inner nozzle when the tube is squeezed, thus making it less messy on the outside and fresher toothpaste for all – all round. It works too! No more have we got toothpaste-covered nozzles, to contend with.

It’s all very well having a toothpaste which is kept clean, but what about the taste? Well, in all honesty the taste of the toothpaste is not like signal or Aquafresh (I’m a ‘stripy’ toothpaste per
son normally), but it’s not that bad either. However at over £1.80 for a tube (compared to my signal or Aquafresh at around half price) it depends on how much you hate those clogged up nozzles?

The toothpaste is actually made by hair specialist Schwarzkrof and Henkel, and in general is a brilliant idea.

The toothpaste itself offers long lasting protection for healthy gums and teeth. It cleans your teeth and fights bacteria even between brushing (a claim made by a lot of toothpastes these days).

Recommend or not?
==============

I would probably recommend this for people who like me dislike the clogging nozzles of other toothpastes. It does cost a little more, but compared to whitening toothpastes it is probably works out cheaper.

Contains sodium fluoride (1450 ppmF) some ingredients include: Aqua, Sodium saccharin, Sorbitol, and Glycerine.

Children under 7 should use a pea-sized amount of the toothpaste, to minimise swallowing. If they use fluoride supplement: check with your dentist.
