Advantages: Taste great, do the job

Disadvantages: None

I think travel-sickness is fairly prevalent among young children. I had it when I was a small child. In fact, at twenty-three, I still suffer from it, which is not good. I can't last a sea, plane, car or bus journey longer than half an hour. Strangely I am fine on trains or when I drive. Anyway, I suffer from travel-sickness so medicating this is very important to me, as no twenty-first century chick can lead a decent life without doing a little bit of travelling.

Traveleeze are essentially travel-sickness pills. They come in packs of ten, in a pretty blue box and normally cost between two and three pounds. You can buy them from any chemist, although for some reason, lately Boots have had problems getting them from their supplier.

Now the reason I included the word "essentially", is that they are not your average travel-sickness pills. Unlike Stugeron and Sea-Legs, they are not chalky, white pills that get stuck half-way down your throat and make you retch. No, Traveleeze look and taste just like sweets. Think wine gums or fruit pastilles without the sugar.

To my knowledge they've only been around for a couple of years. When my chemist first told me about them, I was a little suspicious. Surely something that doesn't actually taste disgusting can't be as effective? Well, I was wrong. I've not had any mishaps with them. I take them at least an hour before every journey and I feel absolutely fine.

I even took one before the notoriously bumpy two-and-a-half hour ride on the rickety Scillionian III ferry from Penzance to the Scilly Iles, and yes, I was okay! Admittedly I did sit up on deck the whole time because I felt a little claustry downstairs.

So I would recommend these to anyone with travel-sickness. They're amazing.

Summary: Try them for yourself (if you or anyone you know suffers from travel-sickness)

Fortunately I love travelling so I feel your pain as my brother was dreadful when he was a kid.
