I suffer badly from motion sickness (travel sickness). I literally turn grey in the face feel terribly sick and afterwards I could sleep on the spot no matter how embarrassing the location. These are all typical textbook symptoms of motion sickness. Bus, train, tram, and especially coaches, ambulance's, and cars destroy me.

I have tried everything in the past from pills to potions and even those pressure point wrist bands all to no avail I'm sad to say. Motion sickness is a result of the brain receiving contradictory messages from the inner ear and the eyes.The eyes register movement while the fluid in the inner ear registers only minimal to no movement at all.Therefor confusing the brain and resulting that terrible feeling of nausea. These are travel sweets with a deference, they contain an antihistamine and are said to minimise travel sickness if taken an hour before you plan on traveling. That gives the active ingredient meclozine hydrochloride time to start working. This ingredient minimises the chance of nausea and the chance of actually vomiting.

The sweets / pastilles are very easy to take as you could imagine. They have a strong, fake strawberry flavour nothing amazing but then again these are not actually sweets they are medication in the form of sweets. For that very reason it is vitally important that these are kept out of reach of children for obvious reasons. They come in a blister pack of ten pastilles and are housed in a light cardboard box that is predominantly blue in colour and depicts lots of different types of transport on the cover. The pastilles themselves are small red and chewy. They are sugar free, which is always good and as they are not to be taken in a dose exceeding two pastilles the laxative affect that accompanies most products containing artificial sweeteners isn't an issue.

As they are in sweet form it is not necessary to take water with these but they must be sucked or chewed and not swallowed whole. I used to take two as recommended for adults and children over the age of twelve. An information leaflet is contained with the product, please read this before use.

As they contain an antihistamine, drowsiness can be a very common side effect, luckily I never experienced this but I know lots of people that have, to varying degrees.They are said to reduce the effect of motion sickness for "up to twenty four hours" I found this to be very far fetched. I did feel some reduction in my nausea but it didn't make me feel like everyone else to the degree that I could sit in the back seat of a car for example or read a nice long book during a long journey.They did however stop me for ending up curled in a ball groaning like that of many occasions in the past. The norm would be me slowly becoming green then grey in the face and I would regularly end up resembling that alien autopsy off the Internet, in fact that alien looked much better than me, when I was at my worst. 

I used these Traveleeze pastilles for quite some time and re-purchased them many times. But they never really made me feel comfortable when traveling. I do suffer from sever motion sickness so may be if you have mild motion sickness or travel sickness these could have a stronger effect on you. 

Thankfully I found a remedy for my problem by simply watching TV. I was watching a show on the Discovery Channel called Myth Busters around a year ago. And on this particular episode they were testing all the different methods of treatment for motion sickness from the wrist bands to medication, and from herbal remedies to old wives tales. The presenters were being put through a vomit inducing array of tests to trigger their motion sickness and come the end of their experiment the out and out winner and the product that now works wonders for me was natural ginger root extract. Since the day after seeing the show I now take a ginger root tablet every day and if I am going on a boat (the worst situation ever Grease 1999 something I never want to experience again) I take some ginger drops in a little water before I leave.
This really works and it's all natural. 

So I would recommend these pastilles BUT I would also recommend you try all other non medication based options before resorting to taking this antihistamine based product.
