Advantages: really friendly staff, very helpfull staff, handy shop to get to

Disadvantages: none at all

As far as I am concerned vision Express are brilliant My hubby Jim got new glasses earlier on in the week and the staff could not have been more helpful. Jim is of a mature age and is stuck in his ways and he always likes the same kind of frames if possible the two girls were on the stockroom floor looking for a pair to suit him. The did find exactly what he wanted and he was a very happy chappy

Jim was in collecting his and Ross asked if they could fit him in for an eye test. They looked at their appointment book and said they could take him in fifteen minutes, as there had been a cancellation.

To help you understand. For those of you who don?t know Ross. He is our youngest son born in 1980 when my other two sons were fifteen and eighteen years old. Ross was born with Cerebral Palsy. The last time Ross had glasses was when he was thirteen years old. Because he has bad hand movements and takes tremors he was always breaking the glasses and they were forever getting repaired so he ended up not bothering with them

Wee know the staff in Vision Express in Stirling pretty well by now as all the family go to them as they are so good .the shop is in the Thistle Marches Shopping Centre In the Centre of Stirling and is so easy to get to as there is an underground car park.

Ross was trying all the frames on as he waited for his appointment with the Optometrist and the two assistants were giving him their opinion. He is six feet tall with dark brown (almost black) hair and he really looked good with quite a small metal-framed pair. He then got his eyes tested and was advised to get them as he had astigmatism in his left eye which was being made worse by sitting at the computer so much

The optometrist explained to Ross as he was on Income support he would only have to pay £10 for his glasses, and as he has Cerebral Palsy there is a number they can call and because his bad hand control if he breaks the glasses

the opticians can call this number and they will be repaired free of charge and if they were to be replaced he would only have to pay the initial £10 again.

He got his glasses one hour later and he looks so handsome in them (well! I?m his mum what do you expect)

Personally my family couldn?t fault the service of the staff and the Quality of the glasses or the time in which they were made

I say brilliant service across the board

To Vision Express we went along
To see if Ross needs glasses
He said "Mum I really need to see if there lads or lassies"
Oh! Ross I said to him "as if"
you need glasses to tell the diff

I hope you enjoyed the read Margaretxx

I have never tried these because I have had the same optician all of my life and he's really good. But I know people who have and have been really impressed with the service and prices. Well-written review, well done :o)
