Advantages: All of the above, and some

Disadvantages: None that anyone is aware of as yet

I have read a lot of new information from all over the world and it appears that Vitamin E is found to beneficial in reducing the risk of heart disease.

With heart disease topping the list in most communities, it makes sense to take steps to reduce the risk, as I have done. Most people know about the health benefits of diet modification and exercise, but they may not be aware of the value of supplementing with Vitamin E.

Vitamin E is a fat soluable vitamin with potent antioxidant action. It helps to protect cell membranes from damage due to free radicals, being particularly beneficial to the heart and cardiovascular system. The vitamin has been the subject of many favourable studies, one of which was reported in 'The Lancet', and showed that supplementing with Vitamin E significantly reduced the risk of developing heart disease.

To be sure you get the best value from Vitamin E it may be wise to opt for natural supplements. Some studies have shown that the natural form of Vitamin E (be sure it's D-alpha tocopheral not dl-alpha tocopheral), may be twice as bio-available and be able to be retained in the body twice as long as the synthetic version.
