In this case, salts and sugars that are needed for metabolic action in the body. Due to the large loss of water in diarrhoea, salts and sugars will be absorbed into the gut. This is due to the relative low osmolarity. Combined with other anti - diarrhoeals such as loperamide (Immodium) diarhoea should be reduced fairly quickly. HRI Water Balance ... the winter months I tend to drink a lot less water. I know this causes water retention but still I can never seem to manage my 8 glasses a day. This finally took it s tole on me last year and my thighs and belly swelled up and I just couldn t shift it. After I figured out it was water retention and not fat I started drinking 3 litres of water a day but it just wasn t enough to get rid of the water retention at a decent speed so my mate gave me these tablets and within 3 weeks I was back to my normal size. Reflex Instant Whey ... I must admit I bought this protein purely based on the shiny tub. It was the first protein powder I ever purchased and it seemed a fairly good choice. The powder mixes really reall and gives about 20g of protein per serving. A 5lb tub will give you 90 servings. For some reason the scoop it comes with is tiny and only scoops out a half serving. But I m not going to rate this protein on the scoop it comes with. The taste is acceptable (I had chocolate mint) and the texture is pretty good when used in a shaker. The product says it mixes easily with a spoon, but don t be fooled. Trying this results in a pretty horrible gloopy mess and a spoon clumped with powder. Use a...
