Advantages: Nice design,
Disadvantages: Inaccurate weight, pricey, not very clear display.
I am a regular at Weight Watchers, and decided to go all out by purchasing all the WW merchandise, as well as the foods. I purchased these scales from Argos and from what I can remember, they were around £22 pounds, around average for an electronic scale.
The scales are very, well, average. They are plain metallic silver and have a small display in the middle. The Weight Watchers logo is displayed above the display, and they are relatively lightweight. On the underneath of the scale is a button which you can swtich between KG and Stones and Lbs. The feet are padded which is designed to stop your weight from changing on uneven surfaces. The scales do not go above 23 St 7Lbs which is a little ironic, considering Weight Watchers is aimed at those who are overweight, and many other ordinary scales reach around that weight. As I attend WW weekly and attend meetings, I am aware of my actual weight (I am weighed on proffesional scales) and these scales seem to add about 1-2 lbs onto me, which can mean a lot to someone who is overweight anyway. The screen is not an LED display or anything like that making it difficult to see in poor light, bearing in mind I have a dark bathroom anyway, this is not very useful.
If you have read my previous reviews on Weight Watchers, you will be aware that I generally speak highly of the Weight Watchers merchandise, so these scales have disappointed me. If not worse, they are not different in any way to an ordinary, basic weighing scales, which I am aware you can purchase for cheaper than these scales. I wouldn't recommend these scales to anyone, just buy a basic weighing scale, if you ask me.
Summary: Wouldn't recommend.
