... frequently find them for sale on ebay (which is where I got rid of mine when I realised the web app had the same tool included). Because it is small enough to fit in your handbag and very quick and easy to use I would recommend this to any followers of the Propoints plan as a very handy bit of kit. Not only does it allow you to work out the points of items it also allows you to track daily and weekly points used - again I use my phone to do this now but if you do not have this availability it is a fantastic little gad...more

Crowned ReviewWeight Watchers Points Calculator: What's the Point of this then? (1208 words)

An absolute godsend to the Weight Watchers plan is the Points Calculator, which is available at Weight Watchers meetings or from www.weightwatchers.co.uk When you are using Weight Watchers to lose weight you are required to count the points values allocated to each and every food available. They produce a very comprehensive Shopping Guide, which is a book listing thousands of food and drink products along with their points value, but obviously an annually published book cannot possibly include every single food available in every single shop. And this is where the Points Calculator is worth its weight in gold. Points are worked out depending on ...  Read the complete review

Watching your Weight? (764 words)

I joined a Weight Watchers group last year and one of the items I bought from their 'shop' inside the meeting was a Points Calculator. Weight Watchers is a diet plan which gives every food a points value, the dieter is given a daily recommended points limit based on their height, weight and level of activity - providing you stay within your points limit you should lose weight. When you join you'll be given a pack which includes a cardboard 'wheel' to help you work out the points, but this Points Calculator is so much more accurate and easy to use. Costing around £10 I did feel it was expensive considering I was already paying my £5 weekly attendance fee, but ...  Read the complete review

Weight Watchers Points Calculator: work it out for me (594 words)

I bought this product at the begginning of the year but i'll admit I haven't really used it that much, until recently as I have been doing the weight watchers diet properley for the last few weeks. This is my review for weight watchers points calculator. The calculator was actually part of a set called the weight watchers from home set. It's for people who want to try and do the weight watchers plan on their own, and don't really want to pay to go to a meeting each week or do it on-line. As I couldn't afford either I decided to try doing it from home. The calculator is small and ideal to fit in your bag or pocket, so that you ...  Read the complete review

Whats the Point? (596 words)

I used to survive trying to work out my favourite foods using the little cardboard points calculator that you get at your first meeting or searching on the internet for someone who knew the answer. The best thing I did for my diet was buying one of these babies. I have the small square calculator with the multi coloured stripes on it. When you purchase your calculator, you fill out a little form for them to prove you are who you say you are. They also advise you now that if you do have any problems with the calculator, your leader cannot refund the money or exchange it. The calculator has to be sent away to WeightWatchers directly and they will take the ...  Read the complete review

Weight Watchers Points Calculator: Top points for a top gadget! (696 words)
by - written on 03/10/08 (Very useful, 983 readings)

I joined Weight Watchers a little under two weeks ago, and at my first meeting was advised by the leader that buying one of these little gadgets would help me greatly in following the Weight Watchers points plan. Now the Points Plan is pretty simple - basically, there are no forbidden foods - you can eat what you like, so long as you don't go over a certain number of points per day . Your points allowance is calculated based on your sex, age, weight, and activity levels. You then tally up whet you eat, calculating the points as you go ( they give you a card that helps you do this) and thats pretty much it . Certain foods are free from points - mainly ...  Read the complete review
