An absolute godsend to the Weight Watchers plan is the Points Calculator, which is available at Weight Watchers meetings or from www.weightwatchers.co.uk When you are using Weight Watchers to lose weight you are required to count the points values allocated to each and every food available. They produce a very comprehensive Shopping Guide, which is a book listing thousands of food and drink products along with their points value, but obviously an annually published book cannot possibly include every single food available in every single shop. And this is where the Points Calculator is worth its weight in gold. Points are worked out depending on ... Read the complete review

I used to survive trying to work out my favourite foods using the little cardboard points calculator that you get at your first meeting or searching on the internet for someone who knew the answer. The best thing I did for my diet was buying one of these babies. I have the small square calculator with the multi coloured stripes on it. When you purchase your calculator, you fill out a little form for them to prove you are who you say you are. They also advise you now that if you do have any problems with the calculator, your leader cannot refund the money or exchange it. I joined Weight Watchers a little under two weeks ago, and at my first meeting was advised by the leader that buying one of these little gadgets would help me greatly in following the Weight Watchers points plan. Now the Points Plan is pretty simple - basically, there are no forbidden foods - you can eat what you like, so long as you don't go over a certain number of points per day . Your points allowance is calculated based on your sex, age, weight, and activity levels. You then tally up whet you eat, calculating the points as you go ( they give you a card that helps you do this) and thats pretty much it . Certain foods are free from points - mainly ... What is it? The weight watchers points calculator is a great tool to help you stick to the weight watchers points plan. This is a small, round, pocket sized silver calculator with a funky striped design on the top. It can be carried in your handbag and just looks like a funky accessory. The gadget can either be used as a regular calculator or to calculate points in a particular product. How does it work? The points calculator allows you to calculate the points value of a product by letting you input the calories in a food and the saturated fat. This is easy to do. You simply press the "points" button on the right hand side ... Read the complete review

**** Introduction **** After starting the weight watchers diet at the start of the year, I have had to change my eating habits completely. I have now adapted a healthy lifestyle by eliminating foods that have high calorie and saturated fat content. When I first started the diet, I found it very hard tracking what foods i could eat with low point values, The weight watcher books did help but trying to find certain foods and their point values became so hard and by the time i found out what the point content was in each food i didn't even want it. Shopping was the hardest part as I was trying to buy healthy foods but as i didn't know what ... Read the complete review
