Advantages: Easy to use, handbag size, no need for books or slider calculator
Disadvantages: Cant really think of any
Hope this is not a disappointing review for those reading it, as I lost the instructions the day I bought it so only use the basic functions!
I know that you are able to track points with this for each day during the week and in this respect works as a quick tracker as well as a points calculator. However in all honesty I would not use this function as for me writing it down in my tracker helps me to see exactly what I am putting into my mouth. It has helped over the weeks to see where I go wrong or when things get to "samey" so I know to change!
Anyway back to the points calculator!!
The oval silver shape with a small rectangle with coloured stripes on the front fits into all of my handbags. I tend to have it with me most of the time as I eat a lot of lunches on the go from boots or m&s and can work out the points then and there - also this is where the function for tracking points in the day would come in handy!!
It is something I would never go shopping without. When I was looking into buying something it was mainly for shopping and I did look at the book, but knew I would feel fairly self conscious taking the book out of my bag and searching through it for points values! Also no matter how many lists i write I always grab other things that I had no intention of buying and now I can pull out my calculator and I know if I am ok to get them of not.
You press the little release button in the middle at the front to open it up, then press the ON button and green POINTS button at the side. It will then ask you for the calories, once you have entered that press the green ENTER key. Lastly it will ask for the saturated fat, once again key that in and press enter. Straight away the points value will pop up for you.
As I said I use this several times a week and I feel much better using this rather than a weight watchers book. As for the price and availability I got mine at my ww meeting at a cost of £7.99 which I see as more than reasonable.
Summary: Always take it shopping with me
