The reason why I have zinc is rather an odd one. I was looking around Boots, stocking up on a few essentials. I had a cold, and I wanted some Vitamin C (see my Vitamin C review) and some tissues etc., but I also felt, for some reason like trying out one of the other pretty coloured boxes that lined the shelves of the vitamins and minerals section. Zinc had a pretty, light blue label. I read the label and it said that zinc would be good for:

healthy skin
hectic lifestyle
immune system
energy levels

I had a hectic lifestyle at the time (it was in the middle of my A levels) and was subsequently very tired, and the fact that I had a cold suggested that I needed help with my immune system, so I bought the thing. It proved helpful with my energy levels.

But perhaps you would be more interested in this claim which a couple of the other reviews have made, that zinc helps the male sex drive. Well, yeah, it's true. Yeah, I am a love-God now. Or rather, even more of a love-God than I was before. I don?t like to talk about it, but I suppose I ought to admit it for the sake of this review.

So there you have it. higher sex drive --> more 'hectic lifestyle' --> low energy levels --> need for more zinc --> higher sex drive etc. etc.
