My friend introduced me to 4head when I was pregnant with my son. As a lot of pregnant women do, I suffered with terrible headaches in the first trimester, this is due to the extra hormones and blood that are flowing around your body to care for the baby.

My midwife advised me that I can take paracetamol without harming the baby, but being a first time pregnant woman I didn't like the idea of taking any medication. 4head gives you headache relief without taking any pills. You buy this from the chemist and a small bottle cost me nearly £4, which I thought was expensive but you only use a very small amount each time, I have been using this for over 12 months now and I still have some left from the first bottle I bought!!

4head comes in a small grey bottle with a clear plastic lid. It is actually a solid rather than a liquid and the bottle it is in screws up to reveal the stick, it is colourless and non greasy, I think it smells a bit like eucalyptus. 4head contains a powerful, natural painkiller, 100% levomenthol, this helps to block pain signals caused by headaches and relaxes the muscles in the head.

As soon as you feel a head ache developing you apply this directly to your forehead by rubbing it all the way across, be careful not to go too close to your eyes as the vapour alone can tend to sting the eyes when you first apply it. Once applied you will instantly feel a tingling and cooling sensation and it seems to freeze the whole of your forehead, these are the signs that the analgesic is working.

I always found that when I applied this is got rid of my headache in under 5 minutes, if I was suffering from an especially bad headache I re-applied it and I always found that it disappeared altogether with 2 applications. The excellent thing about 4head, unlike painkillers is that you can re-apply it as many times as you feel necessary until the headache is gone.

Summary: I was surprised at how effective this was.
