Advantages: No drugs- good for pregnant people etc/ alternative therapy

Disadvantages: £5 for a stick. No good on make up

The Product:
A 3.6g 4Head stick looks a bit like a roll on deodorant or a Witch Stick (witch hazel skin treatment stick). It smells like chewing gum (menthol-y).

I was sceptical of this at first, but bought some after my husband started getting recurrent headaches. There comes a point where you get tired of taking painkillers for headaches and start to see if there is anything else on the market.

This is around £4.99 for a stick. When it first came on sale I remember it was £7 so I avoided it due to the price, now it has been on sale for a while and is sold more widely in places like Boots and Asda, the price has come down a fair bit.

What do you do?
You roll the stick over your forehead and temples when you get a headache. It smells minty and it instantly cools your forehead- it is an odd sensation but quite nice.

After a few minutes you start to feel the effects and I have to say it does work. It is a little bit of an odd sensation and I wouldn't recommend it if you are wearing make up or are at work as it won't mix but if you are at home or its first thing in the morning (or if you wake up with a hangover headache) then keep some by the bed.

In the range that also have Cool Patches that you stick to your head (they feel like cold rubber) but you only get two cold patches in a ack for £4.79 so the stick is more cost effective.

I would recommend this product for anyone who regularly suffers from headaches. I have also seen it used by pregnant women as it is drug free- it is just a menthol stick that cools your pressure points on your head that results in relief from headaches.

Summary: Worth a try if you are tired of taking painkillers for headaches

I always skeptical of this type of thing but maybe if it cools your head its stops it swelling preventing the headach.
