Advantages: Don't have to use pills
Disadvantages: Don't rub too close to your eyes cause it burns
Yesterday I had the 'mother' of all headaches. I don't get them very often but after eating a substantial breakfast, lunch and dinner, I still had it last night. We didn't have any paracetamol in the cupboard and my husband tried to convince me to take a co-codamol. The reason I didn't is because I'm breast feeding and I wasn't sure if it would affect Elijah because they are quite a lot stronger than paracetamol. After a while of moaning Andrew remembered he had this 4head stick in his school bag and convinced me to give it a try.
The idea is that you rub it into the area which is hurting and it's suppose to kill your headache. I was pretty skeptical because it just didn't sound possible for it to work.
The product itself comes in a tube. When I took the lid off and touched the top I was surprised to feel that nothing came off on my finger. I was expecting it to leave a cream or oil but my fingers felt as dry as a bone. I rubbed it into the area that was hurting including my temples and right into my hair line and left it to work. After around two minutes my head started feeling a slight burn but also a coolness to the area where I had rubbed the 4head in. It reminded me of the same feeling that you get when you use 'Deep heat' which of course works.
It took a few minutes but my headache did go but I found that it returned after a bout fifteen minutes which was quite annoying. After telling my hubby that the product wasn't a long term fix, he quickly proceeded rubbing the stick into my head again and I have to say that it went and never returned.
I am really impressed with this product and would definitely recommend it to those of you who get the odd headache. It is quite expensive at £4.50 a go but it does last quite a while and more importantly, it works!
Summary: A good headache cure

- 22/09/09 Think I will have to get one of these as a standby. I don't often get headaches. |

- 22/09/09 I agree. This definitely works and is far better than taking tablets. When I have a headache now, I always turn to this first and only take tablets for particularly persistent/stubborn headaches. |

- 22/09/09 I had often wondered whether this would work, I might try one, Susan |
